The world has been watching African stories.
Told by everyone
but Africa.

That is over now.

What we make

Series. Films.
Festivals. Ceremonies.
Built to a single standard.

Chancelor Productions Africa

Television. Film. Events.

One production house. Three arms. The first built on this continent to own not just the work — but the institutions that crown it. The award ceremony. The fashion week. The premiere circuit. The stage.

i. Television

The screen arm.
Our stories. Our rooms. Our standard.

The continent's stories have been told at the wrong scale. A family drama in Accra carries the same emotional weight as anything on HBO. A political saga set in Lagos belongs beside anything on Netflix.

The question has never been the stories. It has always been who owns the room.

Chancelor Productions Africa makes scripted television for the global screen. Limited series. Returning prestige drama. Feature documentary series. We develop the work here, we own the intellectual property here, we carry it to the world from here. Not as representation. Not as a diversity mandate. As standard.

Scripted limited series — 4 to 6 episodes, premium and streamer format
Returning prestige drama — character-led, multi-season architecture
Feature documentary series — cinematic, festival-ready
ii. Film

African cinema has been winning at Cannes for decades.
Now it has a studio in its corner.

The stories have always been there. The talent has always been there. What has not existed is a house that develops the project, finances it, produces it, and carries it to the red carpet — without asking permission, without co-production compromises that dilute the work, without losing the IP at the door.

Chancelor Pictures makes feature films for the international circuit and theatrical release. We do not make volume. We make one film — the right film — held to a single standard: is this the best this story has ever been told?

Festival-bound. Theatrically minded. Author-driven. Ours.

Narrative feature — festival circuit and theatrical release
Feature documentary — cinematic, long-form
Auteur-led, producer-driven — we hold the IP
Events

Paris built Fashion Week in 1973.
Hollywood crowned its first Oscar in 1929.
Nashville gave music a ceremony in 1959.

Now Africa builds the room.

The artists are here. The designers are here. The filmmakers, the musicians, the voices — they have always been here. One point five billion people. The youngest population on earth. The hungriest audience in the world.

What has not existed — until now — is the institution. The room the world comes to. The ceremony the continent owns.

We are building it.

  • The award show that defines African film and television. Annual. Permanent. The continent's own.
  • Fashion Week Africa. Staged, produced, televised. On this continent.
  • The premiere circuit for African film and music. The red carpet the world flies in for.
  • Cultural galas. The rooms where the continent's creative class assembles and crowns its own.

This is not sponsorship. This is not a branded activation. This is institution-building. Slow, serious, permanent. The world flew to Paris. The world flew to Hollywood. The world will fly here.

Africa
doesn't
wait.

The doors are not yet open.

When there is something worth saying — a first cheque, a first room, a first invitation — we will write directly. To register interest, write to us first.
